Hello, I am alive and well. I have been having a busy week as you might imagine trying to work, find a job and help plan a wedding.
I think our first major decision will be out on Wednesday or Thursday. We're going to book the Minnesota History Center for our ceremony and reception. We toured it Saturday morning and it looked spectacular! All I have to say is come early and bring your camera and a huge memory card! On a normal February morning I could have taken a couple hundred pictures of the building itself not counting the scenery outside! Just imagine what it'll be like with a hundred other people you want to have a picture with and all of the different scenery options.

So...we'll try and picture your ride to the MNHS. You're traveling on 35W South and will merge right onto 94W and get off about a mile later at Marion Street. You'll take a right off of the ramp and follow it until you see the MNHS on the left and take a left into the main parking lot.
From there you'll walk up to the front entrance. The massive glass doors will welcome you into a glass corridor before you observe the little bakery/restaurant on the right and a courtyard on the left through the glass window/wall. Walk through another set of massive glass double doors and you're there. Drop off your gift and pick up your place card. From there you can get your work out in by going right and then up the stairs, or walk past the stairs and use the elevator.
At the exit of the elevator on the third? floor you'll go straight and look right and find the Capitol Concourse where 200 seats will be lining the "hallway." However, you'll be able to look right at the Capitol the whole service as the windows span from floor level to ceiling level.
As the service concludes you'll go back towards the elevator and mingle at a few tables to the right of the corridor. From the top you'll be able to see the reception tables set up around the rotunda, a hole in the floor, above where you walked in. You'll be able to see the head table and the beautiful doors heading outside to a second floor patio, enabling fantastic shots of St. Paul and The Cathedral. From there you'll head down two flights of stairs and join the mix for dinner.
So, all in all there's great views of The Capitol, St. Paul, and The Cathedral. We'll have a second floor, above ground, patio to get better and outdoor views of St. Paul and The Cathedral. After dinner you'll be able to walk back up the stairs and sit down for a chat with friends or family or jump on the dance floor and dance the night away.
And my writing exercise is done for the day. :)
