Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow

Yesterday

Well, I think it's safe to say that yesterday's interview was a bomb.

I interviewed poorly.

I learned a few things as the hour and fifteen minutes passed by.

The job description seemed a bit misleading.

So, the hunt for another interview continues.

Today

Today's weather was finally a warmer day but it was windy.

I worked 8:30-5:30.

Romaine lettuce with tomatoes, cucumber, green pepper and chicken from a box with carrots on the side topped off with honey mustard dressing made up dinner. I didn't feel like eating. I washed it down with a high caloric liquid. Water. I think I just wanted to use the phrase "high-caloric."

Scott Baker is pitching well tonight for the Twins.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow will mark 100 days until I get married! I can not wait!

Unbelievable

This is today just before 4pm.

At 4.29pm it's snowing. Sick and wrong.

Oh yeah and there's more unbelievable-ness.

Stress is striking.

Frustration is festering.

I thought I got a deal from Dr. Dentist. Well, I paid $255 and change just about a month ago for my one tooth root canal. Fine, then I'd owe another $91 on the appointment where I actually get the crown on. Ok, I can hack that.

Well, then it took me two more times to get that crown put on because Dr. Dentist messed up the color on my crown and wanted to send it back. So he did, and I had to come back two days later and take up more of my time. But that's not what I was so concerned about.

It was the fact that the "balance" of my root canal was now not the $91 as originally anticipated but it was $239! Are you kidding me! Where did this extra $148 dollars come into the mix? Or are they not even including the $91 and I really owe another $330? So, I haven't paid them yet because I didn't have my check book. Not that I can really afford another few hundred dollars for one measly tooth!

So...how does this insurance work? Did they even pay for anything? When will people "surprise" you with not an extra couple hundred dollars on your bill but maybe with a whole statement that is readable to the normal person! How "surprising" would that be. It'd be a pleasant one not a pissed off one. As the one I requested only came with a very generic $239 fee on it. Oh great, so now I don't even know what I'm paying for! Where's the customer service in that? I'm too afraid to ask/request something too, like a full statement. I don't like to but that's another blog, that's just more of a personal problem.

Will this crap with insurance ever change? What is the point of insurance? Everywhere I look, insurance doesn't work or you have to front 8-trillion of your own dollars before they pay 8 bucks for a broken nail! Seriously, answer this, will insurance ever change or will I just someday make more money and just not care anymore?

Why do they (the dentist or the insurance company) not tell you what this crap costs up front? All it needed was a little mental preparation and I would have probably been fine with the cost. But come on, $500 bucks for one flipping tooth! But no, they just set you up with 4 appointments to fix 1 tooth and charge you 250% more than anyone would want to pay!

All I wanted was to not spend all of my money on a tooth and be informed of what was going on. But as usual it seems, the insurance company and the dentist not sharing seemingly necessary information to tweak people off. Or maybe just me.

Time to watch the snow fall. Are you kidding me! Snow! Come on!

When Will Spring Come?

Hi, what's the weather like where you live?

Here in Minnesota it is dark, dingy, gray, ugly, sandy, dirty, cold, damp and I want spring to spring from the ground. This trash gives me headaches because it's too cold still and I long for sun and warmth. I still have to wear my Spyder coat and my wool socks while eating soup and drinking hot chocolate. I have a headache now and have gotten a few lately because of the changes in pressure with the rain, sleet, snow, semi-warmth, threatening sun going up and down before giving way to gray and cold!

I wish spring would do just that. Spring.

Kansas won the NCAA basketball championship last night. It was a fantastic game to watch the whole way through. With 2:16 left I think I said that Kansas would never win a big game, a championship again, because they don't have "clutch" players. So, down 9 they whittled it to just a three point deficit with 10 seconds left when out of the woodworks of the floor came Mario Chalmers and his big three to tie it up with 2.1 seconds to go. The Jayhawks would then take the win and the championship by 7. Craziness. I guess I'll have to recant on Kansas not having any clutch players. I will have confidence now if I pick them for a championship again as I have done in the past.

I finished 24-8 in round 1.

9-7 in round 2.

4-4 in the elite eight.

2-2 in the final four.

1-1 in the final two.

And I picked the winner, Kansas. I might have waited until Saturday to pick Kansas over my other team, UCLA but I did.

I finished 41 of 63 for a winning percentage of .650.

Just average.
That makes me

Catch Up Blog

I was told to blog.

It has been a while.

Alot has happened.

My Grandma lived to be 90 years old. I was extremely glad that I got to see her for her 90th Birthday because I didn't get to see Grandpa before he died.

My Grandma was cool and I learned much more about her coolness at her Memorial on the 25th. And already, from time to time, the clientèle at Herberger's reminds me not only of Grandpa but now Grandma.

Katy and I have been wedding planning as of late too. She printed off the invites the other night...

Tonight we went to our second counseling session with Sid. It was good to keep learning about each other and pushing towards what else we need to talk about before being married on the 25th of July.

I think I have an interview with Infinite Campus. It's not until next next Monday. Find out more on your own...I'll have to as well. :)

I got a $550 dollar Andrew Marc of NY leather coat for $22.49 after my 25% discount of course! :) Score!

I wish I were in a fantasy baseball league...

I was going to buy a suit at Target for my wedding...

I bought argyle socks for the guys in the wedding! Here they are!

We booked our tickets to Orlando, Florida for our honeymoon. Sorry if we weren't supposed to. Now we need Chris and Grant to score us a sweet hotel room with his connections with Westin. :)

Umm, it snowed alot the other day. Yesterday I think but not most of it is gone and the grass is being watered. Slightly.

That is all for now. Over and out.
