Still catching up...here is an abbreviated version in pictures.
The Hilton Grand Vacations Club we stayed at!
Random gas station birds.
Sunday
We went to Sea World in the morning before heading out of the sun for the afternoon, thinking we could get back in the evening for more action. That didn't happen though since it rained from 4-10pm. That stunk but it enabled us to get ready for Monday.
Monday
Katy and I got up and went to a Hilton selling seminar so we could get cheaper Disney tickets. It was an absolute horrid time but it worked getting us cheaper tickets!
I'll post these pictures later. Check back.
Tuesday
Disney Day! We were at Disney from 9-4pm. We went on Splash Mountain, Space Mountain, Thunder Mountain, It's a Small World, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean, Swiss Family Robinson Tree and we traveled to Tom Sawyer's Island.
Arrival.
First picture opp.
Katy waiting for the Jungle Cruise.
Still cruising.
It rained.
The jungle scene.
Tom and Huck's Island
Mom, don't worry it's not real.
Hanging out on the front porch in our rocking chairs like the good old days.
Typical shot in front of the castle.
Katy and the castle.
One last time on our way out.
Wednesday
We went to the Wide World of Sports Complex that ESPN has to check out the Tampa Bay Bucs practice. It wasn't anything great (the first time!). I called my friend Dan Berglund and he hooked us up with something nicer on Saturday morning. So, compare the pictures.
Stretching out.
Line up the offense.
Will Allen-DB
Disney's Wide World of Sports-sounds more impressive than it actually is.
Jeff Garcia...
dropping back.
It was nastily humid and Katy was not having fun.
Will Allen shot #2.
:)
Chris Simms and I forget who...Jason Johnson??
I thought that might have been Dan Berglund...and I found out when I got home that it was.
Their track.
Soccer and baseball and softball in the far background.
One set of basketball courts for AAU Tourney's galore.
Home of the Atlanta Braves spring training.
Wednesday night we also went to Universal Studios for The Dark Knight-the new Batman movie.
Thursday
Animal Kingdom!
My poncho from Publix in full use. We wandered in the rain for about an hour before getting out of there.
Friday
Date night at Charley's. One of the top ten steak joints in the USA. My $111 dollars and change says so too. It was delicious. NY King of the bone or something, petite filet mignon, white truffle french fries with parmesean cheese and asparagus in a bernaise sauce all washed down with Coke.
Saturday
Bucs Practice Part II--Much better!
Katy and a sweaty hall of famer, Ronde Barber.
Me and Dan.
I was part of the press interviewing Jon Gruden.
Joel and Katy on our way out!
