State Fair 2010

Katy and I went to the State Fair yesterday with our good friend Paul. At the drop of a dime we can call him and he's game and that's pretty fun about that guy.

So we hit the fair at about 3pm on Saturday and did some good old fashioned walking, wandering and well...sightseeing. We got sick of it and left. But we went back a few hours later for more.

I ate a footlong hot dog but it was not what I expected and it was kind of gross. I also ate cheese curds, those were delicious but heavy and clogging, of course. I also got a brick of peanut butter fudge while washing all of that down with lemonade and coke. Not bad for the first couple hours.

We went back later for about an hour and a half and I ate a Greek gyro, which was excellent. Dad would also be proud, I put down a triangular slice of baklava as well. Yum! I washed dinner down with some coke and Sweet Martha's cookies and we made a purchase of some local honey.

Of course, mostly all of this was shared as that would be like 10,000 calories on my own. Some of them we even shared with Paul (and vice versa).

All in all it was a good day to wander around, eat and check out some of the sights.

I may head back on my day off on Wednesday and take in some KFAN radio or ESPN radio if they're broadcasting live. Who knows what might be next? Maybe a key lime pie ice cream bar!
