Birthday Ideas *Update

1. Flight to NYC for a couple day trip to wander and shop and tour
2. Flight to Chicago for a couple day trip to wander and shop and tour
3. LV Cabas V Tote. It's from the 2012 Mens Spring Fashion Show if I remember correctly.

What would happen if I could get my hands on this tote?  This would be the ultimate statement bag, something I'd use every day carrying to work.  The Gaston V logo would be awesome to have making me known but only to those who know LV.  If not, I can always hope for the F/W bags from the fashion show next time this year.  This look like this.  :)

This bag.

All of these.

This coat.

This bag.

More unique, less usable but this bag.

This makes me want a cape.  This is supposedly part of the women's collection next fall.  And this makes me want a cape.  I'd wear this even though it's women's.  And it's something I'd buy all of you.

This was from F/W 2012. And I'd wear that in a heart beat.

And since I'm cold all the time you know as well as I do that I'd wear it.

At training in NYC I was decorated with a Masai rug folded and styled on my like this one on the right. The pattern is different, the one that connects to the link above.

Well, what else could I possibly want.

Gift Card to Martin Patrick 3
Gift Card to Black Blue
Gift Card to Len Druskin
Gift Card to Nordstrom

I mean this pretty much covers it.  There's so many other things I would want or take but it's mostly a time identified by me at a fairly specific time and place.

Gant Rugger, Tommy Hilfiger, J.Crew, Billy Reid, Todd Snyder, Band of Outsiders, Shipley and Halmos, ...

A plane ticket to run a road race somewhere--Chicago, New York, Connecticut, Boston...
A trip to watch the NYC Marathon in the fall?

A MacBook Air

Tons of money for a new car for Katy in the fall.
I want this, Jeep Wrangler 4x4.  Katy probably doesn't.  :)

Who knew your son, brother, friend and stranger would be this high end luxury driven and interested.

Tell me if you guessed it.  Or if you saw it somewhere in childhood or adult hood.

June 4

Thank you for the Birthday wishes, calls, cards and presents.

I enjoyed the day at work before getting out into the nice Friday evening and enjoying a little bit of Brasa with Katy, Paul, Nick and Becca. We all enjoyed it, their garage doors were open at the Grand Avenue spot. We wandered a little on Grand, going into J. Crew but most stuff closes down early on Grand so we didn't go in too many places. However, we did get a dish of ice cream from Grand Old Creamery.

Nick, Joel and Paul waiting in line for some ice cream.

This was at Biaggi's in Maple Grove on Wednesday night June 2. Katy and I picked up Mom, Dad and Grandma. It was quite the few days of hanging out with Mom and Dad and it was great to see them. Some people asked when I saw them last and I wasn't sure. That means it was a long time, I suppose it was last summer.

Among our time together it seemed that most of it was spend enjoying a great amount of calories. Sunday was PF Changs! Monday we were at the Johnson's and were able to enjoy a great spread of food as well as the key item, venison! Monday night we went to WA Frost. I enjoyed lobster risotto with roasted shiitake mushrooms, julienne of snow peas in a smoked paprika sauce and a vanilla emulsion. It was a crazy good. Dad also ordered a charcuterie plate, which is just a bunch of cured meats on a plate with some sourdough bread and a couple of sauces. It was awesome, tasting something new!

We also ate at Old Chicago one night but then night before they left we ate at Biaggi's. It was pretty good as I stayed on the seafood train and got some lobster in pasta and it was delicious.

So, that's that. I'm 27 years old with 73 more years to go. I wonder what I will accomplish in this coming year. I do pray for alot...

I Am A Bad Son/Happy Birthday Mom!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!

:( Sorry! I hope you had a good Birthday! I can't believe I missed it by that much and that it's been happening way too much lately-to everyone. I love you Mom! No matter how late I am, I think about you and Dad and everyone everyday.

In other news while I'm here...

I'm working day seven in a row right now and tomorrow will make it day eight in a row. Horrible, but what else do you expect when you work where I do? It's horrible, just like my memory. So, I have been in quite the routine of working, coming home and going to bed to just do it all over again. So yeah, I work eight days in a row and five of those were closing while throwing in some Bethel basketball preparation and a game and it's a busy week and a half.

Also going on in that stretch, Herbs had some more layoffs. Nothing exciting going on at our store. We actually added a manager and another assistant manager but retail is still in a horrible situation and so is the economy so it's still that much harder to get another job.

So, with all of those changes I change again too. I go from Men's to Accessories and now I work in the Home Department, learning anything and everything about dishes, china, crystal, flatware, cookware, sheets, towels, thread count, GPS systems, luggage, candles, frames, barware and more. It's quite the product knowledge center. However, it has not been my favorite thing going on so far. It's been a week already I guess but I don't enjoy it very much. It is really getting tough working there and trying to be there full time and try and stay happy and enjoy work, do Bethel basketball and try and create something enjoyable to listen to, while trying to run and wishing I could run and exercise more, to the mundane every day activities of eating, showering, cleaning up our apartment and more it's gotten quite tiring and tiresome going to work. Not to mention all the other managers are on their comp week from working six days a week over Christmas, leaving all of their closings and weekends of working to me. It just is not enjoyable working there much anymore.

So, I was just watching UConn play Villanova and have a quick panic that Mom's birthday passed. Boy, did it pass. I'm sorry Mom. I love you! :) Happy Birthday!
